It seems Samsung is not alone when it comes to eco-friendly mobile phones. LG has got its own solar-powered phone which will be present during the Mobile World Congress. But the eco-friendly handset is not as ambitious as Samsung’s Blue Earth solar-powered phone. LG still promises to use green packaging for this handset and will be printing the user manual in soy ink on recycled paper.
LG’s eco-friendly phone has a solar panel on its battery cover which will give 3 minutes of talk time for every 10 minutes it is exposed to the sunlight. LG also plans to go commercial this year. But I wonder what if you have to use it in your room where there is no sunlight but only artificial light? Will it charge then?
